PHILISTINES' CLUB.
Mr. Zante Wood presided over the* meeting of the Philistines' Club held oigl Saturday evening,, at the Rooms, Grafton Road. An enjoyable, programme of instrumental and vocal items was contributed by Mrs. Estellc Verran, Mrs. Le Petit, Misses Edna Craig, Lalla Hemue, and Winifred Hill, Messrs. Geoffrey Laird, Haydn Murray, Gordon Fagan, Robert Simmers, Eric Bell, and Hal. C. McLennan. Among those present were: Mesdames J. Poole, Nello Porter, H. P. Hopkins, Guy Chapman, J. F. Saunders, G. C. Lyttelton, H. T. King, W. H. McKinney, J. E. O'Shea, lan Simpson, H. Alder, Wilfred Wright, Haycock, F. H. Gifford, Trevor Williams, Bradstreet, J. Scoullar, J. Alder, Alexander, Bone, Tanner, Forsyth, J. L. Rough, L. McLellan, Misses Joy Porter, Joan Gifford, Lulu Drysdale, Ethel Kae, Myrtle Burns, Gwen Warren, Nonie Wright, Jocelyn Patterson, Laura Walker, Peggy Cutting, Mary Walker, Mina Dallen, Molly Foreythe, Margaret McLean, Middleditch and Doreen D'Authreau.
