AUCKLAND ROTARY CLUB.

President Syd. Harbutt occupied the chair at to-day's lunch meeting of the Auckland Rotary Club, held in Milne and Choyce's reception hall. There was a large a'ttendahce and amongst the visitors were: Messrs. J. J. Mackay (Sydney), E. T. Seymour (Dunedin), G; J. Yule (Invcrcargill), N. W. Stevens and C. J. Mackay (Wellington) and M. Roland (Rotorua). The president tendered a hearty welcome to Rotarian Fred Hellaby, who resumed attendance after a lengthy illness. He reported upon "the arrival in Auckland by the Mariposa of delegates who had returned from the International Rotary Conference at Bost6n. These delegates had stated definitely that' .the address delivered at the convention by the New Zealand delegate, Rotarian Frank Milne, was one of thu outstanding speeches and had kindled enthusiasm throughout the country.

The speaker of the day was Mr. Eliot Davis, who spoke on his experiences abroad. The vote of thanks was moved by Rotarian Horace Bull.
