ARM CRUSHED.
CAUGHT IN MACHINERY,
ACCIDENT NEAR WARKWORTH,

Warkworth, this day.
When working- at his well-boring plant at Snell's Beach, Mullet Point, seven miles from Warkworth, yesterday afternoon, Mr. J. J. Glavish had his overalls caught between two cog; wheels, and his left arm was drawn into the machinery and severely crushed. Mr. A. Ranum, assistant to Mr. Glavish, had to reverse the machinery before the arm could be freed. Mr.-{Slavish is a single man, aged 23, and lives at Taulioa. After medical attention had been given by Dr. G. H. Osborne the injured man was taken a painful journey in a trap three miles on a rough clay road to the metal. He was then transferred to a car owned by Mr. T. Collins, of Warkworth, and was taken to the Auckland Hospital.
His condition late this morning was reported by the hospital authorities to be still serious.
