HABICHT BROADCAST.
POWERS TAKE SERIOUS VIEW. LONDON, August 11. English newspapers express the opinion that the British, French and -Austrian Governments take a serious view of the speech broadcast from Munich on Wednesday evening by Herr Habicht, Herr Hitler's personal inspector ill Austria, in which he denounced the Austrian Chancellor, Dr. Dollfuss, for "inviting foreign intervention against Germany." The "News-Chronicle" says: "If Germany obviously has no intention of fulfilling her promises Britain might consider the original proposal, namely, that independent representations be made to Germany, also the possibility of joining with the other signatories to the FourPower Pact in a joint protest, or appealing to the League of Nations."
