ROYAL RECEPTIONS.
Special activity goes on in the Royal kitchens when a court is held at Buckingham Palace. All the dainties served at courts are cooked at the Palace, and extra chefs are called in to help in the preparation of delicacies, writes a London correspondent. Tiny mutton pie 3, each about the size of a flve-shiiling piece, are one of the chief items in the buffet menu. Debutantes "in the know" always make a dash for these pies, as they can bo obtained nowhere outside the Palace, their recipe being one of the many closely-guarded secrets of the Ivng's chef. . The Queen takes an active part in all arrangements connected with a court, and often makes practical >n_rgeslions for innovations and improvements.
