PRESENTATION
All the members of the workshops staff of the Auckland Transport Board assembled to make a presentation to the rolling stock superintendent, Mr. C. A. Harris, who retired this week. A presentation was made by Mr. J. Kennedy, foreman of the carriage department, of two easy chairs, two travelling rugs, an illuminated address and a tea wagon and pewter afternoon tea service for Mrs. Harris. Mr. Harris received a smoker's outfit and 6et of pipes from the employees of the Gaunt Street car shed, and a case of gold-mounted pipes from the staff of the Epsom car shed. Later he was the guest of the administrative and head office staff, when the manager, Mr. A. E. Ford, presented on behalf of the staff, a radio set.
