Woddul and Co. refer < to the hides market as follows:—It has .been disappointing to see so few European buyers showing interest: It is true that a good deal of business was done in Hamburg last week, but chiefly in , r'rigoiifieo varieties of the cheaper quali- i ties, or from districts where the hides are ■ not ill such good condition as in the Plate. r These rough-grained hides have been sell- j' ing at comparatively low prices; In some v cases Id or more less than Argentine sorts. I ' Our chief hope lies stiil with North ~ America.
