80-YEAR-OLD TOURIST.
FLIGHT IN FIJI.
Anion" the through passengers by the liner Mariposa, w'.iich arrived at Auckland this morning, is Mr. W Hume, of Melbourne. Although he is 80 years old, Mr. Hume recently ilew from Lautoka to Suva by seaplane. Mr. Hume, who does not look hie age, said that he could conceive of no better way of seeing Fiji than by a plane He was particularly interested with what he saw when crossing the Rewa delta and Suva. The reef and the varying colour of the water in the vicinity of°Suva, said Mr. Hume, created the impression that the 'plane was flying between clouds. He thoroughly enjoyed his flight, and wad very glad that liehad had the opportunity of seeing Hji from the air.
