TRAINING COLLEGE'S EASY WIN.
Eight tries were scored by-Training College against Eastern Suburbs; whom they defeated by 35 points to G. With five third graders in its ranks, the suburban side was no match for the fast moving visitors, who played oped football all the time.* Failure to tackle low cost Suburbs mai}y points, and lack of combination kept their own score down. Townsend, .JDare and Inglis were the best of the college backs, with Webber and I'ountney prominent . among a hardworking- lot of forwards, Lpngville was the • outstanding back on the home side, and made several clever openings. . Wall and Woodford worked hard among the forwards. • For Training College Webber (2), Pountney (2), Maxwell (2), Townsend and" Pargetter scored tries, four o£ •which were converted by ,Townsend, who also kicked a penalty goal. : For Eastern Suburbs Longville scored an unconverted try and Miller drop-kicked a penalty goal.
