FINGERS INJURED.
HAND IN PLANING MACHINE.

WHANGAREI, this day.
Shortly after starting the carpenter trade some time ago Mr. Carl Provan, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Y. Provan. Kamo Road, lost part of one finger of his left hand. On Saturday last lie caught his right hand in the planing machine in his father's factory find the tips of the third and fourth fingers were lacerated. He received attention in the Whangarei Hospital to-day. Mr. Provan, wlio is a well-known cricketer, will not suffer mutilation of the hand.
