YUGOSLAV CLUB.
The president and executive of the Yugoslav Club of Auckland gave their first dance in the Manchester Unity Hall last evening, a large number of. members and guests attending. The hall was beautifully decorated in the national colours, blue, white and red, rows of streamers and clusters of balloons being arranged from the ceiling and round the walls. Unusual music was supplied by a Yugoslav national tamburitza orchestra in national costumes, and many numbers had to be repeated. On arrival the guests were received by the president of the club, Mr. Paul Koekicli,. Father Pavlinovicli and tlie lion, secretary, Mr. B. Sarich. The prizes for the beet fancy dresses were awarded to Miss, Pertie, as the National Flag; Miss Thomas, a Russian dancer; Mrs. M. E. Simich, as Madame Pompadour; and Mr. M. Sumicli, as a' Viennese toy soldier. The president of the Italian Club, Mr. G. Negro, and Mrs. Negro, were present, the latter wearing blond lace and satin. Mr. O. J. Tliedens, president of, the German Club, and Mrs. Tliedens also attended. Mrs. Tliedens wore white angel skin lace. Mrs. W. E. Parry wore beige spotted chenille. Among those present were: Mrs. G. Negro, biscuit angel lace; Mrs. F. Pasalich, wine crepe suede; Mrs. J. Kuljis a Mexican; Mrs. Vodanovich, a white shadow; Mrs. M. E. Simich, Madame Pompadour; Miss Jonkovich, black crepe suede; Mr. F. Vela, a Cossack; Miss Rona Whitman, Viennese gipsy; Miss Zena Parfitt, geranium red tulle; Miss Piacum, white satin; Miss Barbaricli, a Montenegrin girl; Miss Dean, cameo pink satin; Miss Jean Luketina, scarlet crepe suede; Miss Mekusicli, a Swedish girl; Miss Lena Barbaricli, Chinese girl; Mr. J. Nuhaljevich, an English admiral; Miss A. Seansie, white lace; Miss G. Viscoe, white satin; Mrs. M. Nola, opal blue velvet; Mrs. Marlcorana, black and white spotted crepe; Mrs. Jelich, nut green crepe suede; Mr. M. Sumich, Venetian officer; Mrs. J. Mandich, black crepe cle chine; Mrs. Markukusich, cornflower blue satin; Mr. Marinovich, a Mexican; Mr. Gilich, an ancient prince; Miss Olga Nola, black ring velvet, relieved with white; Miss Soljan, powder blue satin; Miss Mary Thomas, a Russian dancer; Miss V. Devich, Rio Rita; Mr. Vincent Dean, a Cossack; Mr. Duganzich, a Sultan; Miss 0. Luketina, powdqr blue chiffon; Miss K.
