YUGOSLAV CLUB.

The president and executive of the Yugoslav Club of Auckland gave their first dance in the Manchester Unity Hall last evening, a large number of. members and guests attending. The hall was beautifully decorated in the national colours, blue, white and red, rows of streamers and clusters of balloons being arranged from the ceiling and round the walls. Unusual music was supplied by a Yugoslav national tamburitza orchestra in national costumes, and many numbers had to be repeated. On arrival the guests were received by the president of the club, Mr. Paul Koekicli,. Father Pavlinovicli and tlie lion, secretary, Mr. B. Sarich. The prizes for the beet fancy dresses were awarded to Miss, Pertie, as the National Flag; Miss Thomas, a Russian dancer; Mrs. M. E. Simich, as Madame Pompadour; and Mr. M. Sumicli, as a' Viennese toy soldier. The president of the Italian Club, Mr. G. Negro, and Mrs. Negro, were present, the latter wearing blond lace and satin. Mr. O. J. Tliedens, president of, the German Club, and Mrs. Tliedens also attended. Mrs. Tliedens wore white angel skin lace. Mrs. W. E. Parry wore beige spotted chenille. Among those present were: Mrs. G.
