For buttertat supplied the average monthly advance over all grades was 8.34 d per lb, and with a further bonus of %d per lb on buttertat supplied from October to dune brings the average payment over all grades to °d net. With cream cartage. .27d, and dividend on share capital, .033 d, added, the final payment for the season will be 9.30*1 per lb buterfat over all grades, lbe directors recommend a dividend of 3 per cent on all paid up capital at the end of the last financial year.

The annual report of the Springhead Dairy Company states that the output of butter for the season ended May 31 was 221 tons 7cwt Sqrs 21b, an increase of 10 per cent over the previous year. Ilie manufacturing account shows:—Sales ot butter milk. £15; export butter sales, £11.490 39/4; local butter sales, £o9o'15/10' butter in store at factory, £2803 0/4- advances to suppliers, £13.007 15/9; deferred payment, £714 18/11; cream cartage £510 14/4; factory charges. £2348 17/5, and marketing costs, £559 5/1.
