NEW ZEALAND BREWERIES. BALANCE-SHEET ITEMS. The accounts of New Zealand Breweries, Ltd., as presented at the annual meeting of shareholders in Wellington, have already been referred to in these columns. A glance at the figures shows that movements in the balance-sheet have not been very pronounced. Outside liabilities have increased by £17,00!). Stocks and sundry debtors are less, a natural result of reduced turnover, but investments and cash in hand stood at higher levels, representing exceptional liquid strength. The balance of assets over outside liabilities at March 31 showed £1 3/ for each £1 share.
