There were S2 entries In the medal contest at Middlemorc, aiid several of-the lewmarkers played well, the competition being won by lan MncEwan with a card of 7.1 —2— 78. The next best cards were :—K. M. Rutherford, 91 —18—-73; 11. I'lumley. 70— 2—74; A. 1,. McLean, 70 —5—74; W. B. Lusk, 84—10—74 : 11. A. Joyce. 82—7—75 ; IT. 15. Lusk, 77—1—70; H. Kirker. !)3—1(5 — 77: A. M. Mowden, Sl—S—79 ; J. F. Bronn, SO—lo—7o. In the exhibition professional match. Shaw and Kutter defeated Moss and Galloway, two up. A very strong northerly wind was blowing, and scoring conditions were extremely difficult. Moss recorded, a 7(5, Shaw 7S, Kutter 77 (came home in 36— the best nine holes of the game), and Galloway 84. After the match a long driving competition was held. A strong cross-wind made conditions difficult, and the majority of the competitors failed to keep within the part pegged in. B. G. Thomson won the event with a drive of 231 yards, I. MaeFwan being second, his drive being 14 yards less. The following took part:— K, 15. Carr, A. 1,. McLean. S. s. Wilson, V. Wilson, I<\ Mucky, K. Caldwell, It. 11.
