SOCCER CUP TIES.
SATURDAY'S FIXTURES. PONSONBY DEFEAT HAMILTON. FALCON KNOCK-OUT CONTESTS. Saturday was a busj' day in the Soccer code, when national and local . cup ties and championship fixtures w r crc the order of the afternoon. The main game was the Chatham Cup, North Island semi-final, between Hamilton Wanderers, the South Auckland competitors, and Ponsouby, the Auckland candidates for the national club championship. In addition the local championship games were played simultaneously with the second round of the Falcon Cup knock-out competition, in order to reduce, as far as possible, the undue prolongation of the seasons. The results of the games played were: — Chatham Cup.—Ponsonby 3, beatiHamilton Wanderers 0. Thistle 4, beat Tramways 1. North Shore United 6, beat Onehunga 1. Y.M.C.A. 3, beat New Lynn 1.
