Proverb Pozzlc Contest NOW INTO LAST MONTH The "Star's" Popular Proverb Picture Competition. Eleven More Pictures: £25 in Prizes. When the thirty-fifth picture in the /'Auckland Star's" Proverb Puzzle Contest is published, the competition will have'entered its last month. There are eleven more pictures for which titles must be found, so plenty of time is left to make a bid for one of the big cash prizes offered. There is no entrance fee, and all a competitor has to do is to fit the most suitable proverb from the official list to the amusing pictures published in the ' Star on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday of each week. Keep your entries until the series is complete. Start now and watch for the next eleven pictures. If you are following the competition regularly, as thousands of readers are, glance back through the last thirty-three pictures and see if you cannot make an occasiona improvement on one or two of the titles you have selected. The "Auckland Star" offers £25 in cash prizes for this fascinating competition—first prize, £10; second, £5; third, £3; fourth, £2; and ten additional prizes each of ten shillings.
