WAIMATE BEQUESTS.
TOTAL OF ABOUT £10,000. PRESBYTERIAN BENEFITS. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent) DUNEDIN, Sunday. Under the will of Miss Mary Carter, of Waimate, £4000 is bequeathed to the Knox Presbyterian Church, Waimate, for the purpose of building a new church, and £1000 to Knox College, Dunedin. The residue of the estate, after provision for relatives, is left equally between the Timaru Presbyterian Orphanage, the home mission fund of the Presbyterian Church, the foreign mission fund of the same church, the theological committee, and the New Zealand branch of the British and Foreign Bible Society. It is estimated that these five bodies will each receive approximately £1000. The total bequests are about £10,000.
