Colorado Canyon.
VILLAGE WASHED AWAY. (Received 0.30 a.m.) VANCOUVER, July 0. Twenty were drowned and damage amounting to 1,000.000 dollars was done when cloudbursts devastated the towns of Idledale and Morrison, Colorado. A 20ft wall of water rushed into the Bear Creek canyon and swept seven motor cars loaded with holiday-makers over the banks.
Half of Morrison was wiped out and not a single house was left in Starbuck village. A similar flood in 1890 took 28 lives.
