BIRKENHEAD ORPHANS.
A successful gathering was held in the Buffalo Hall on Saturday evening on the occasion of the opening of the tenth session of the Birkenhead and Northcote Orphans' Club. Mr. R.. G. Holland was chairman. The programme comprised instrumental and vocal items, and the selections by the orcheetra, under the conductorsliip of Mr. Peter Black, were much appreciated.
