The United States Ryder Cup playcre, Shutc arid' Graigwood, who tied with. 292 for the British open golf championship at St. Andrews on Friday, played ofE for tho title yeeteraay, When Shutc won a contest over 30 holes by 149 6trokcs to 154.

Sluitc, who had hard luck not to win with 291 on Friday, when his final fourvards' putt stopped on the lip of the 3<ith hole in tlif fourth round, was three strokes to the good when' the morning round had been completed on Saturday.
