MILK CONTROVERSY.
LETTER TO MINISTER.
A letter has been serrb to the actingMinister of Commerce, the,. Hon. J. G. Cobbo, on behalf of the Auckland independent city and suburban dairies, stating that there are 25 dairies in Auckland owned by people who have sunk their savings in them, and that these businesses have not been considered in connection with the Auckland proposal to control the milk supply. Tlie representatives of the independent dairies have decided to make an organised attempt to raise the price of milk to 3d a quart over the counter and 4d delivered *o that they will be able to pay the farmer Sd a gallon.
