WARO MINE.
HIKURANGI SWAMP FLOODS.
DIFFICULTY WITH PUMPING. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHAXGAREI, this day. The steady inflow of water into the VYaro mine following the past two days' heavy rain is again giving the miners working in Mr. A. T. McGlashan's party a trying time. Although the water is gaining slightly, the position is not yet regarded as serious.
With one of the main pumps submerged during the last flooding, the difficulty of keeping the water down has been increased, and last evening it was found necessary to shift the present pumps back still further. The position is the same this morning, but the water is still rising. To-day will probably see the worst over.
