FLOUR FROM U.S.A.
CONSIGNMENT FOR DUNEDIN. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DUNEDIX, Monday. A consignment of 103 tons of flour from the United States has been landed here from the City of Tokio for several large bakery firms in the city. It is stated that the flour is to be used for the purpose of mixing with Xew Zealand flour in order to raise the quality of the bread, as Dominion wheat is rather too soft and dark to produce flour of the highest grade. The price of the flour landed at Dun* edin bakehouses is £10 (>/ a ton, and it is understood that the duty payable on it is about £2 a ton.
