FATAL HEAT WAVE.

96 DEGREES IN NEW YORK,

(Received 9.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, June 11. An unseasonable heat wave in the eastern and southern sections of the United States on Friday resulted in almost 100 deaths. It is officially stated that the temperature in New York was 9G degrees. In Philadelphia the schools were closed on account of the heat.
