The report of Blackwater Mines, limited (Reefton), for May, with April figures in parentheses, is as follows: Crushed, 4100 tons of ore (3200 tons), yeilding 1032 (1637) fine ounces of gold, valued at £11,117 (£9413), at £5 15/ an ounce. Working costs were £3708 (£4810), leaving an estimated working profit of £5319 (£4605). . Development expenditure was £764 (£810), and capital expenditure £1211 (£l2S4>
