LEGALISED BEER.
DISTIIXER'S COMMENTS
"What X sampled in America was worse than "hog-wasli,'" said Mr. J. B. Cumming, a director of the firm of Johnnie Walker and Sons, Ltd., the Scottish distillers, who arrived by the Niagara this morning, when asked to comment on the quality of the United States legalised beer. Speaking of the liquor trade generally, Mr. Cummings said: "You can get as fine a wine list to choose from in America as in any other country in the world. Although I did not see a drunken man in New York, I found that it was much easier to obtain liquor after hours, practically anywhere, than it is in London. America certainly is an amazing country."
