The "Varsity forwards gained possession and attacked from the right, Xeild saving a'good shot in the goalmouth. - Boss made a tricky run - from half-way, to be stopped in the circle by Leonard. A rally by Papatoetoe looked promising until Broun stopped, and passing between Boss and Broun had Papatoetoe in' trouble. Leonard again stopped, but Lamb", secured, centred to Broun, who made no mistake and got the corner of the net. 'Varsity attacked upon resuming and after a hard pressure, Burnett sent in a hard shot. 'Varsity 2, Papatoetoe 0. 'Varsity were soon goal-hunting, Lamb centring to Broun and passing between Boss and Philpott saw the left winger net with a hot shot, 'Varsity 3, Papatoetoe 0.
