WOOL RESEARCH.
LEVY TO RAISE MONEY.
FINALITY EXPECTED SOON,
Further discussion as to the proposed levy of 3d per bale on wool, tor tiie purpose of raising a fund for genera wool research, took place at the Massey College, said Sir George Fowlds, member of the college council, who returned from Palmerston North by the Limited express this morning. The idea was gaining ground, he said, and in his opinion wa*s an excellent one. Finality would probably be reached at a conference to be held shortly m Wellington, over which the Hon. E. A. Ransom, Minister of Lands, would preside. The scheme would mean that two instructors, specially 'rained, and acquainted with the results of long years of research at the Massey College, would tour the country wherever their services were required.
