NEW ZEALAND NOW 82/ TO 83/. HOT, DRY WEATHER HELPS.
Continued hot, dry weather is quoted in one merchant's cable as the reason for a firinnesti in the London butter market. It is possible that Danish supplies may be falling o(V just when they should, under normal 'conditions, be plentiful, and in such case the demand for New Zealand supplies will improve accordingly. the weekly official eaoiu received trom London by the I'iess Association reads as follow: Butter is tirm.' Uanisii, 92/ to 04/ per cwt; choicest salted. New Zealand, S2/ to 83/; Australian, 80/ to 82,'; unsalted, 1/ to 2/ premium. Cheese is steady. New Zealand, white, 49/ per cwt; coloured, 04/(j; Australian, 47/ to 51/6. MERCHANTS' CABLES. Cables received this morning by local merchants from Too ley Street, London, are as follow:— Messrs. A. S. Paterson and Co. (principals, Messrs. •!. and J. Lonsdale and Co., London).—Butter: Market strong. Upward tendency, assisted by hot, dry weather decreasing Danish output. Danish, 72/ f.0.b., 93/ landed; New Zealand, 82/; Australian, 81/ to 82/ (very scarce). Cheeses' Similar. White, 49/; coloured, 54,'. Mr. L. McCartney (Messrs. Henry A. Lane and Co., Ltd.. London).—New Zealand butter, 82/ to 83/. New Zealand cheese: White, 48/ to 49/; coloured, 54/. Both markets firmer. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd. (London principals, Messrs. Samuel Page and Sou).—Butter: The market is firm. New Zealand, finest salted, 80/ to 82/; Danish, 92/ to 94/; Australian, finest unsalted, 80/ to 82/; finest salted. 78/ to 80/; g.a.q., 74/ lo 76/'. Cheese: The market is firm. New Zealand, white, 48/ to 49/; coloured, 54/; Canadian, white, (XV to 6S, ; coloured, 66/ to 72/'; c.i.f., 54/ to 50/. Messrs.
