SOCCER PROGRAMME.
FIXTURES FOR TO-MORROW.
SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES,
The senior championship competition in the Soccer code will be resumed to-morrow afternoon and there is a full programme, in all the other grades. Blundford Park' will be occupied for the first game by New Lynn and Abels, the two clubs who have probably been longest in striking form. Abels are new to the grade, but have nevertheless a promising team,, though the players have not yet given a very impressive display. The New Lynn team has lately been composed of a large proportion of Navy players and their showing against the latest entrants into the grade should prove of much interest. The principal game on the Park will be between Y.M.C.A. and Thistle, who never fail to produce a strenuous and keenlycontested struggle. _ The ground conditions at headquarters this season have been excellently adapted to the ilever footwork that the Scots love to indulge in, but it will be very surprising if they are allowed to display the "pattern weaving" that is a feature of their game, for Y.M.C.A. have a team of young, dashing and unorthodox players who pay no attention to the finer sidelights of the game, but take the shortest route for the ball. Whether Thistle can pull off the points will depend on their finishing, for the Y.M. defenders are likely to break up their concerted efforts. Onehunga will be at home again, their visitors being Comrades, who, after their decisive victory over Glen Innes, cannot be taken lightly. Ponsonby will travel to St. Helier's where they oppose Glen Innes, and they have no easy task to return with the points, while Tramways will find the youngsters of North Shore United no mean foemen.
