BENEFICIAL RAIN.
RELIEF FROM LONG DROUGHT. (Received 10.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. The King's birthday holiday is being observed to-day. The weather is showery for Randwick and other sport. Beneficial rains have fallen over the week-end in northern parts of the State and over the greater part of Queensland, bringing considerable relief in that portion of the central west, which has been suffering a drought for many months.
