AUCKXAND-HELEHSVILLE TECH. CLUB'S GREAT TIME. The Technical College 01(1 Boys' Athletic Club hold a relay run on Saturday from the Auckland Post Office to Parakai, n distance of 88 miles. Twenty-one runners took part and the distance was covered In the miignificcnt time of 3 hours 20 minutes, eclipsing the Lynndnle Club's time from Helensville to Avondnle en route. Climatic conditions throughout the relay were not of the best, a very keen wind being encountered most of the way, while the runners had on occasions to run through heavy rain. Everything considered the performance was worthy to rank with the club's best. C. Dawson took the baton and set off at a fine pace sharp at 8 o'clock and handed over to T. Kedgemnn at Pitt Street. At the Reservoir corner White took over and was followed by Gudsell, Whitten, Hjorrlng, Murray, Gibbs, Day, Smith, Brown, F. Laird, E. Laird, V. Knight, D. Knight, Pearson, ltaper, Bainbl'idge, Barker, Adams and Ohms. Some splendid efforts were witnessed and it would be impossible to differentiate between the efforts of the various runners. Perhaps the most pleasing running, from the club's standpoint, was that of the junior runners, F. Laird, V. Knight, Whitten, Ohms and R. Brown, the lnstnamed, a slight boy, performing very gamely. All deserved praise for their efforts. » Just before entering Parakai all the members turned out and ran into the grounds together, finishing just at 11.20.
