CYCLING.
WHAKATANE CLUB. The annual 30 miles road race was held bv the Wbakatane Cycle Club for the John Green Senior Challenge Shield and miniature on Saturday, under ideal weather conditions. The race was won by W. L. Green. The scratch men, Whittle and Doncaster, retired. Results:—W. L. Green. 12.0, 1; R. Ilarland, 0.0, 2. Fastest time, D. Aberhart, 2.0, 3. At the conclusion of the race the president presented to .T. Whitten the Leader points cup for the 1032-33 season.
