JUNIOR MANAGEMENT. ANOTHER PAPAK.URA TEAM. The junior management committee of the Auckland Rugby League last evening approved the entry from Papakura Club of a team in the third open grade competition. Transfers granted were as follows:—A. JVlcTear, from Taupiri (approved by South Auckland League) to Ellerslie. United seconds; A. H. Weaver (third intermediate), from Manukau to Marists; G. Malam, from Mount Albert to Glenora; P. McGready, from Richmond to City Rovers; H. Alcock (fifth grade), from Ellerslie to Akarana; R. J. Church (sixth B), from .'Richmond to Ponsonby fourths; O. Jones, City sixths to Richmond; J. H. K. McDonald (City school grade) to Newton Rangers sevenths. MID-WEEK COMPETITION. DRAW FOR OPENING DAT. There was a large attendance at the first official meeting of the Wednesday management committee of the Auckland Rugby League last evening, Mr. A. H. , Turner presiding. It was decided to hold the opening day' next week, subject to the board of control permitting the use of Carlaw Park. The competition . will consist of two rounds, the second round also to be a knock-out competition. ■ ■ ... An emergency committee wais elected as follows:—Messrs. W. Tobin (Victoria United), W. Schofield (City Markets), A. Black and the chairman and hon. secretary. This committee is to act in a judicial capacity and deal with play offenders ordered off. The draw for first matches was as follow:—Railway v. Atta Taxis, Checker Taxis v. Amalgamated Theatres A, Victoria United v. City Markets, Seamen United v. Amalgamated Theatres B. The early matches will be started at 2.15 p.m.
