CHRISTCHURCH RELIEF MEN.
GRANT FOR WEEK-END.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. Tho three hundred relief workers who Protested to the Mayor, Mr. D. G. Sullival> M.P., against the stoppage of rations, caused by the depletion of the ■Mayor's fund, next marched to Government buildings and interviewed the officer in charge of the Labour Department, Mr. B, T. Bailey. j, , er the deputation, Mr. Bailey said :~ e Mayor had agreed to grant £40 from 8 Mayor's relief fund for relief of necessitous cases among the men. The ■Mayor had asked that this money be ' ributed by the benevolent commit"B of the Hospital Board.
