QUALITY OF WOOL.
CONFERENCE OF RESEARCH,

CHRISTCHURCH, Friday.
Important proposals for a general scheme of research into the quality of New Zealand wool with the object of bringing. about an improvement in the standard of the exported produce, are to be placed before a Dominion conference of sheep breeders to be held at Massey Agricultural College on Friday. The Government has decided to support the bi«- movement decided upon by sheep owners, and the Minister of Agriculture, the Hon C. E. Macmillan, will represent the Government at the conference.
The conference on Friday will be asked to decide whether a general scheme of research is desirable and possible, and whether it would be possible to provide necessary funds for this work.
