TRAINED NURSES.
A general meeting of the' Auckland | branch of the New Zealand Trained Nurses' Association was held at the Nurses' Club, Mountain Road, on Wed-1 nesday night. Mrs. Kidd, the 7>resideiit of the association, presided. The evening, which took the form of a business meeting and social gathering, was a very pleasant one. A matter which came up for discussion h.v members was tlio number , of liours worked by nurses in private hospitals and the possibility of having these regulated. Members were informed that a course of monthly lectures would be given by the honorary medical staff of the Auckland Public Hospital, to which all members of the association were invited. A social committee, composed of Misses Patterson, • Joyce, Hood Tmd Bentham, was set up to arrange „ monthly social functions, I Miss Patterson to act as convener. After . the meeting supper was served in the lounge, Misses Bessie ■ Messer, Myrtle Burns and Rita Haresnape entertaining members with songs, recitations and musical items. .
