PUBLIC SERVICE DANCE.
The Auckland Automatic Exchange Sports Club gave its first dance of the season in the Symondsville Studio on Thursday evening. The guests were received on arrival by Sir. L. Thompson, • telegraph engineer, and a speech of wel-1 come was made by Mr. L. L. Macev, district telegraph engineer. Mr. G. Mc- ! Narnara, secretary of the New Zealand Post and Telegraph Department, at- j tended and also gave a short address to i the guests. The hall and supper room were specially decorated for the occa-1 sion with balloons, and symbols re pre- j senting telephone dials. A buffet sup- ; per table was arranged with late autumn flowers.
