BRITISH DELEGATION. Chancellor of the Exchequer As Leader. LONDON MEETING. ✓ (British Official Wireless.) (Received 12 noon.) RUGBY, May 18. The names of tlie British delegation to the World Economic Conference were announced in the House t Commons by Mr. Mac Donald as follow' —Mv. Mac Donald, Mr. Neville Chamberlain, Viscount Hailsham, Sir John Simon, Mr. .J. H. Thomas, Sir Cunliffe Lister, Colonial Secretary, Air. Walter Runcimun, and Major Elliot, Minister of Agriculture. jlr. Mac Donald added that as president of the conference lie would bo unable to attend meetings of the United Kingdom delegation regularly, and Mr. Chamberlain would) theicfoie, act as leader i.i the delegation. The extra cost of holding the conference in London instead of Geneva will be borne by the British Government, and Sir John Simon stated to-day that for this purpose £IS..">C>O had been included in the Foreign Office vote. The cost of adapting the new Geological Museum buildin? to accommodate the conference was estimated at £7500. Asked whether the conference would sit continuously until the work was completed or adjourn if the task was incomplete to allow delegates to attend the League Assembly in September, Mr. Mac Donald said that was u matter for the conference itself to decide.
