LOWER SUGAR PRICES.
A decrease of 10/ a ton in the wholesale price of sugar, to take effect from to-day, is announced by the Colonial Sugar Refining Companv, Limited. There was a similar fall in May last year. The new prices are as follows:—Brewers' crystals, £28 a torr; No. 1 coarse grain, £27 5/'; No.lA fine grain, £26 10/; No. 2, soft, £26; No. 3 yellow ration, £25; caster sugar, £1 9/9 per cwt; invert sugar, £24 10/ a ton. Reductions have been made in the price of solden syrup and treacle.
