BROKERS LESS EI3Y. EASIER TONE TO MARKET. COLONIAL SUGARS IN DEMAND. Fewer sales' have been passing through the Auckland Stock Exchange over the past 24 hours. The tone of the market, generally speaking, seems to be slightly ■ easier. Colonial Sugars are very firm, with buyers at £56 and holders asking £1 more. Government stocks are still in keen demand, but at a slightly lower level. Four per cent stocks were on offer to-day at £100 10/ for the longer maturity dates to £100 15/ for the shorter maturities. Three and a half's were wanted at £99 10/, with none offering. Bycroft's shares were quoted ex dividend, with buyers at £1 15/.
