HOCKEY SKATING.
A race over a mile was decided at th» Rivoli skating rink last evening, when Jock McFadyen. of H.M.s. Dtinedin, chy. lenged Archie Williamson, one of the rink's fastest skaters. Both men fell in the second lap. but in spite of this AVilliamson com' pleted the mile in the fast time of 3.55 He defeated McFadyen by half a lap, th» last-named being affected by a knee injury A special hockey match on skates b£ tween the Olympians and the Unity team was played last evening, resulting it a draw, neither side scoring.
