BUTTER BOXES.
NORTHERN FIRM'S LOSS. WHANG AREI, this day. The annual report of the North Auckland Co-operative Box Company states that rigorous efforts were made to reduce the stocks of sawn timber on hand, with the result that, together with the heavy writing off for depreciation, the year's working showed a loss of £1310 11/. During the year 89,433 butter boxes were supplied to dairy factories at.current prices. In view of the decision to wind up the company as early as possible, future activity will be confined to thg realisation of the email balance of timber on hand and the final output of butter boxes.
