TO AID THE BLIND.
SOCIAL CLUB FORMED. The Auckland Social Club for the Blind, which was recently formed,.held a very successful opening night ■• at the Institute) Parnell, last week. Mr. D. MePhce the president of the club, was chairman. The first half o£ the evening was tnken lib by a'n enjoyable concert, provided by artists who generously gave their services. , ~ At the conclusion of the concert, Mr. MePhee outlined the ambitions and the obiects of the club. Mr. MePhee said that the club had been formed in order to create a greater social life among the Wind community, and also to give blmd persons a better chance to meet members of the outside community. Also there was a hope that the blind people would find activities as were practicable would be taken up. - : . . ~ Mr Clutha Mackenzie, director pi the institute Ll patron of the the club could be assured of the heaity co-operation of the board of trustees.
