Mapping Symbols.
(By PRESSWELL.) The second, of the series of standardised signs appears below, and the slogan that "The sign is an aerial view of the object" is again clearly demonstrated in most pictures. Thus whilst the cutting has a clearly defined, outline, the filling, eloping away to gradually merge with the surrounding country, has no definite outline.
