NEW WATER SCHEME.
AITCKLANiy INFIRMARY. Details of the cost of-a new water supply at the Auckland Infirmary were given at a meeting of the Auckland Hospital Board yesterday. The buildings committee reported that it had approved the following prices:—Cost of 30,000 gallons reservoir, £378 8/6; pumping machinery, £294; pipe for reticulation, £209 8/1; laying, and filling material, £55 6/8; fees, £93 16/9; total, £1031. It was decided to discuss the proposals fully next Monday evening with the One Tree Hill Borough Council, which is at present supplying water to the Infirmary. The committee's report will be considered further at a special meeting of the board next Tuesday, when a report by the resident engineer also will be submitted.
