BUTTER AND CHEESE.
Regulation Negotiations in Progress. DOMINIONS CONSULTED. (British Official Wireless.) (Received 12.30 p.m.) RUGBY, May 15. Jlr. J. H. Thomas, Dominions Secretary, stated that, arising out of representations by the High. Commissioner for New Zealand, Sir Thomas Wilford, as to the general fall in the wholesale- price leveb in the case of butter, discussions were proceeding with the Australian and New Zealand Governments as to the possibility of regulating imports in a manner satisfactory to all parties. Hβ pointed out that in view of the Ottawa agreements the regulation of imports into the United Kingdom of butter, cheese and other milk products from the Dominions before August, 1935, could only take place by voluntary arrangement.
