CONDITIONS IN AUSTRALIA. SIR JAMES PARR RETURNS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Monday. Sir James Parr, interviewed on his return from Australia to-day, stated that the economic position was improving there and,the unemployed were being absorbed into industry in all ot the 'states. Sir James said that one did not hear Australians talking very much about the economic blizzard, and a spirit ot <rloom did not characterise the general attitude of the people. Australia, in its heart, was fearful of drought, which, if it cauie, would throw the whole country i back.
