MODEL YACHTS.
ORAKEI CLUB FINALS. The Orakel Basin Model Yacht Club brought a very successful season to a close on Saturday when the finals of the commodore's cup and club captain's trophies were sailed jii a steady southerly wind. The final of u series of nine races for Commodore G. Brouu's cup resulted: — Lois M. (L'ni) It. McKay 1, Twilight (scr) N. BoestSOll 12, Kangi (7m) J. Cole 3. The cup was won on points over the nine races by Norman BeetHon's Twilight 15 points, with K. McKay's JLois M. 10 points second.
Club Captain's Trophy.—Tin; final race for club captains (.Mr. A. It. Bevins) trophy was won by G. l<. Jensen's Monarch 11 points, with C. Oliffo's Arika 5 points second.
ORAKEI V. MANUKAU. The second of a series of three contests for the lnter-elub championship between the l J onsonhy, Orakei anil Manukau Model Yacht Clubs was held at the week-end at Mill Bay, Onehuuga, when six of the Orakel Club boat« competed against six Manukau boats, all off scratch. The Orakel boats were very successful, gaining the three lirst places in the oft and lirst two in the. 4ft classes. The visitors were entertained to lunch and afternoon tea by the Manukau Club, which Mr. G. Brouii, commodore of the Orakei Club, suitably acknowledged. Throe-footers.—Tin; linish was: Monarch (O.), It. Jensen, lh lni, 1; Kangi (O.), G. Broun, jiin., lh 3ni, 2; Ariki (O.), J. Cole, 3h Tin, 3; I,ucky (Jirl (M.), h. K. Hammond, Hi 12m, 4. Kiateremai anil Oinatere retired. Four-footers.—The liuish was: Lois M. CO.), K. McKay, lh 54m, 1; Twilight (O.), N. Beetson, 111 .">-lm 40s, li; White Heather (SI.), lh sl!iii. II; Hono (M.), lh 50m 10s, 4. Ariel and .Sea .Spray retired. General Handicap.—The finish was: Restless, W. Kveritt. 40m Ids, 1 ; Kangi, G. Bronn, 2h sOm 30s, 2; Hono. H. Evans, 2h 52m ss, .'t; Konn, "h Ss, 4; Margie, i!li OUni 455, r>. The linals will be .sailed this week-end at St. Mary's Bay.
