MILK SUPPLY.
CONFERENCE DATE NOT FIXED Asked this morning when he wae convening the conference to consider tlie establishment of a board to control the Auckland milk supply, the Mayor, Mr. G. W. Hutchison, said that the Manukan County Council, which had requested him to convene the conference, had not yet supplied him with a list of those who should be invited. "As soon as I get this, I will fix a date and call the conference," he said. The question was before last Thursday's meeting of the City Council, when a letter was received from the Manukau County Council advising that at a recent conference of representatives of producers, vendors and other parties interested in town milk supply, the principle of the formation of a board to control the supply of milk over the metropolitan area had been endorsed unanimously, and it had been agreed that the Auckland City Council be asked to convene a further conference for the full discussion of the matter.
